Last year, a friend of mine made the most memorable tea, made from simply simmering fresh cut lemongrass (from our garden) and some stevia leaves (also from our garden). It was so delightful that I thought about it all year, eager to make more this summer. Finally, I made my own, and, wow! I was impressed by how easy it was to make, delighted by how delicious it is, and really curious about why my body seemed to feel so good from drinking it.
Turns out, lemongrass—full of antioxidants—offers many health benefits! For example, it may help with:
1 batch = about 2 servings
1. Bring water to a boil
2. Throw in lemongrass and stevia leaves
3. Turn off heat, & cover
4. Let steep for 30-60 minutes before drinking.
5. Serve warm, or chilled.
